i guess i should stop promising to blog

because it’s obvious I won’t keep it up. 🙂

It’s been a whirlwind around here. We closed on our new house on 8/30 and we are loving PA. No offense to MA, we loved it there too. We are just so blessed to deal with great people on both ends of our move. We are still settling in around boxes and piles of stuff we just don’t know what to do with! I truly can’t stop counting our blessings these days.

The kids are adjusting well and we have had lots of visitors to keep us busy. We can’t wait for more as the holidays approach. 🙂

D has been saying all kinds of adorable things lately like “help you” (instead of help me), and he very clearly (and usually loudly!) requests the songs he likes in the car “Beats Bananas Pease?” (Of course you don’t want to be around when the song is over! We are working on being okay when Mommy and Daddy say “No!”…that’s for both our kids actually!)

C really loves to color and is getting more and more coordinated and dexterous which is good to see. She is starting swimming classes again and loves them! (and we are loving how much more inexpensive they are here!)

My kids are adorable, have  i mentioned that yet?Image

C’s 4th Birthday!

C's 4th Birthday!

I’m re-learning to use WordPress and I am going to try to get back into actually updating the blog. 🙂 So I am testing out some ways to get pictures on. So this doesnt count as the first post.

i thought they were cookies…

This story is just too awesome not to share!

Last week in school C made stones out of coffee grounds and sand (and probably some other ingredients). They made them because they had talked about the story of David and Goliath and how David had used Stones in his slingshot. (so glad they made stones and not sling shots!). Anyway, the stones had to dry over the weekend.

Well, the teacher emailed us on Monday saying how the stones smelled positively AWFUL! She didn’t kow what was wrong. So she said to just admire them in their (Sealed!) baggies and then get rid of them.

So I left them out on the counter for C to show Daddy. She does, and then I was going to wait till she went to bed to toss her project out. Of course, I forget to do so as soon as she is in bed. We’re watching TV and B gets up to go get a drink. I’m focused on the show.

He sits back down.

(do you see where this is going yet?)

Next thing I know he’s saying, “WHAT ARE THESE? UGH!”

Yep. He was eating rotten coffee ground & sand “cookies”.

We could not stop laughing about it. 🙂

aww poor blog…

I am sorry for the lack of Updates!… and I never posted this, and so I am editing it so include more info lol. I am hoping to get better about this!!! I want to have something to help me remember all the cute these little guys do. 🙂

D- started sitting up just before 7 months. And at th end of his 7th month, 2 teeth appeared! at 8 months he seems to want to be on the move but hasnt figured it out yet! (and since it’s taken me a month to post this, he’s 9.5 months- he still can’t crawl! he rolls around, scoots backwards and is semi mobile that way…) And as of this week he has stopped gagging on anything that wasnt a super smooth puree- he may eat real food someday ! ((and now at 9.5months is mostly on table food!))Yay! He continues to be a super sweet happy baby who never cries! ((we took him to a kids concert- read: loud, flashing light, start and stop music– he didnt make a peep! Such a good baby!!))He easily goes to other people and only fusses if he is left completely alone in a room. His big sister continues to be his most favorite person and if she comes scampering back in he perks right up. You should see him light up when she comes around!  ((this is still true:)))And, biggest news of all- he finally has started sleeping through the night. At least sometimes. (not last night!). ((this is still his one “weakness” –still not very regular with good sleep!!!))

C-Turned 3! We had to reschedule her birthday party due to the kids getting hand, foot, and mouth (for the 2nd time in 5 months! boo!). Ill try to do some photo updating in another blog.

3 seems to be the not listening age. You can pray for me as I am feeling like I lose my patience with her far too often (I’m sure that not sleeping through the night doesnt help!).

She continues to have an amazing memory. She is now 3 years, 2 months and knows all of her letters, usually/most upper and lower case. She knows all the sounds the letters make, she knows what letters are vowels. This is not because I am an amazing homeschool mom. I must admit it is thanks to this little show on netflix that she absolutely loves. It is super catchy and of course, it gets old like most kid shows, but seriously, I highly recommend it! (they also have a number one that she likes and I like even less :))

My big girl started preschool! Someday I might homeschool my kids, but for the preschool age (particularly with another one at home) I’m happy to send her off. 🙂 That sounds bad. But you know what I mean. She absolutely loves it. They had a few days so that we could warm them into separation. Yeah, my kid didnt need that. In fact, on the days since then she is always anxiously asking me (a A a…) “you’re gonna leave mommy??” — because she DOESN’T want me to stay!

We’ve  been busy the last few weeks especially, hitting up birthday parties, labor day weekend fun, renaissance fairs, apple picking with friends, C’s first concert, and soon off to the beach with PopPop. We just don’t stop! Hopefully I will get my act together posting more about these events, or at least some pictures.

Oh, and a little on A & B- part of the blog drought was due to B having a very busy season with work because of a strike- thankfully that is over and he is VERY much looking forward to & due for a vacation! He’s started a blog for his photography, I invite you to follow & comment, it will mean a lot to him! 🙂

I need to remind him to update it! 😉
I attended Thirty-One’s National Conference in August and I absolutely LOVED it and I am already looking forward to heading back to Atlanta next year!! I am totally inspired to keep at this business!

More soon, I promise!

D {6 Months Old!}

Well, these pictures were closer taken closer to 6 months!!

at 6.5 months…

Lil Nugget (not really sure why this is what I call him…) is just so sweet and snuggly. He still loves his momma milk, but he’s learning to love food, too! Definite Favorite: Bananas. I can add Bananas to anything and he will eat it (so far!). He’s a bit picky about texture, but I am seeing him improve in that already!

So far he’s had: the big winner, bananas, carrots, peas, green beans, and today: Avocado! Avocado is the first that I’ve gotten him to eat without mixing it with anything else so, win!

He had his 6 month check up and while he hadn’t hit all of his milestones, the pediatrician wasn’t concerned. And today, just a week or so later, he has started to wobbly sit and roll over!! Lil man was about 17 pounds, He’s got some lovely rolls that you just want to gnaw on!

No teeth…any day now! He’s not too fussy though, so i wonder if it will be awhile. 🙂

He’s so sweet, which is why he gets away with not sleeping through the night… he hardly makes a peep in the day! I love my lil nugget!!

{27 Weeks}

so by my calculations, Monday marked the beginning of the 3rd trimester, even though all of my pregnancy calendar thingies say that it’s the end of trimester two… But 40/3x=13.3×2=26.6… so, I’m going with Hello Third Trimester.

and, EEP. That was quick.

I keep thinking back over the last six months and wondering how it’s been six months already and how in the world did i get here so quickly?? Overall I’ve been feeling really good, in fact, most of the time how i’m feeling has more to do with the two year old in my life than the baby i’m growing! 😉 Mostly I’m just tired… somewhat from twoyearolditis… and also because I’m just not sleeping well- no big surprise!  I clearly remember sleeping better with a newborn than pregnant last time around!

27 Weeks

But, baby boy is growing and growing! I’m already “measuring ahead” although still within the “normal” range. I guess I grow big babies! I had my glucose test at my last appointment and I passed on the first try this time! Hopefully I won’t have to take it again anyway, since the nurse actually gave it to me by mistake.. It should’ve been given closer to 28 weeks. So, fingers crossed.

C and "the bump"

C definitely knows there’s a baby in my belly- but if you ask her his name she always says “mommy”! So clearly it’s not all put together just yet for her 🙂 And, Yes! We do have a name! But it’s secret for now. Or at least semi-secret. I’m trying to not tell…but B is much better at keeping it a secret than I am!!

this post has taken me all week to write! I’m feeling uninspired and very cranky lately. I honestly feel like i will be feeling better in about 12 weeks. I hope I can pull it together before then for my hubby’s sake, especially.  I’ve been praying for a lot of patience and endurance and strength (to help me potty train the two year old!) , but i think i need to ask God for a little niceness too.

I think that’s it for now… here’s a link to my 3rd trimester post from when I was pregnant with C, in case you are bored. 🙂

51 Weeks Old!

Well, 51 weeks and 1 day.
Just a few days ago she stopped being afraid of walking with us holding our fingers. She still will only take a few steps, but before she would always sit down when we would hold her fingers. So this is quite fun!

She’s enjoyed a lot of beach time recently, she’s my little beach bum. She LOVES it, loves eating sand, crawling in sand- even loves the water! The beach we frequent is a bit protected so the waves aren’t too big (yay!) so she can sit right on the shore & a little bit in the water. It’s seriously so much fun.

We’ve been doing a lot of reminiscing lately. I can’t wait for next week! So excited for her to be one!
